Born from a simple frustration
It started with a headline — another produce recall, another reason to wonder about what we were feeding our families. We knew growing our own food was the answer, but suburban life had its own challenges.
Limited space, no gardening expertise, and definitely no time to figure it all out from scratch. We wanted a kitchen garden that looked intentional, grew reliably, and didn't require becoming a master gardener overnight.
So we built it. And then we built it for our neighbors. And then for theirs. Homegrown was born from the belief that everyone deserves to know where their food comes from — and that it shouldn't take a farm to get there.
